Girls FAI 2018

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on May 4, 2018

A few weeks ago, Tirna Murph, Ellen Griffin, Maire Chua O’Brien, Ella Mangan, Eabha O’Callaghan, Tessa McGuigin, Tara Ryan and Suvi O’Connor all qualified as a team to go on to the next round of the FAI soccor competition. Mr. Ryan was our coach and unfortunately due to an injury, one of our brilliant players, Ava Meikle could not attend but all the girls from 3rd to 6th came to support. We drew our first game, won our second, lost our third and fourth but still qualified to the finals. We came second in Kerry and got silver medals.

On Monday the 23rd of April K3 Fitness came in as part of Active schools week. There names were Domnick and Barry. They were very nice. They did stretches with us as our warm up. Then they did  Zuu, which MMA fighters use to be flexible and fit. It was very fun. At the end we done a cool down, we did some more stretches for this as well. We also got a chance to ask some questions about fitness. It was really fun and I hope they come again.
