Christmas Art

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on 19th December 2017

This year for our Christmas Art we made baubles that were sent off to other European countries such as Italy,France etc. Almost everyone in the class made them. We each got to make up to three. Another art competition we did was the credit union art. We got the choice of colouring a festive looking house or a decorated Christmas tree. I choose to do the house.

Christmas Concert

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on 19th December 2017

This year we are putting on a Christmas concert in the church. We read and play roles in the story of The Nativity. We have had three practices. Myself, Ava Meikle, Ben Levy, Dylan Ladden, Ellen Griffin and Lachlan O’Shea are the narrators. Michael and Éabha O’ Callaghan are reading a poem at the start of the play. There is an angel and the Three Wise Men and many more roles in the play to look forward to.

Christmas Decorations

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on 19th December 2017

We put up decorations around the classroom. They all look very nice. There are Christmas banners and and lots of tinsel. We put them up two weeks before the Christmas holidays. Some of the banners we put up are in Gaeilge and say Nollaig which means Christmas. There are some pictures put up on the windows that face the yard. Some of the pictures are of Christmas trees.

Science Morning

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on 14th December 2017

On the 16th of November we had our science experiment morning. Everyone in my class went outside. I did skittle colours, it’s when you put skittles around a plate and put milk in the middle of the plate. All the colours should start to come together. Other people did really good experiments as well. Maire made a lot of slime and everyone  played with it. Dylan Ladden put lots of pencils a plastic bag. When we came back inside we had a classroom vote. Dylan Ladden won a blue star for his team.
