This year our school had to draw the fruits of the holy spirit. We had the same thing four years ago. There is 9 fruits. Ellie, Zara, Holly and Jake did the drawings. The rest of the class is going to paint them. I think the drawings are very nice. I would like to paint the peace one because it is very nice.

Catholic schools week

Posted by cmacgearailt0161 on 30th January 2015

The theme for Catholic School week 2015: Catholic Schools: A Call to Serve, invites all involved in Catholic education to examine what we understand by service and how we live out the call to serve. We are called to self-reflect and remind all members of the school community of the founding values; in other words, education is never simply about transmitting simple facts. This year, school communities are encouraged to answer the Call to Serve; for example, by reaching out to those who are most in need in society. During CSW 2015, Catholic Schools are encouraged to celebrate their identity as Catholics Schools.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

We hope you all had a nice Christmas.

2015 is now here and we are back into the swing of things in school.

We had a surprise visitor from Canada on our first day back. Shauna who moved to Canada two years ago was home for Christmas and we were delighted to see her again. She gave us a great insight into what life is like in Canada.

On Wednesday we celebrated the feast of the Epiphany by holding prayer services in our classrooms. Epiphany means appearance and marks the arrival of the 3 Wise Men to visit the baby Jesus.
